Catherine O’Gorman Barranco graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1998, where she was honored as a National Merit Finalist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College (Magna Cum Laude, 2002) and her Masters of Philosophy from Oxford University (2004), both in Economics.

Among her numerous employment experiences while in school, Catherine taught at the Harvard Summer School and interned for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. After graduation, she worked at the Wal-Mart Headquarters in Arkansas before returning to San Antonio. She has tutored professionally since 2005.

While specializing in Economics and Mathematics, including Calculus and SAT Prep, she also teaches Chemistry, Physics, and Statistics. Catherine is an experienced college counselor. Her area of particular expertise is helping top students gain admission to the world’s most selective universities, such as Harvard and the other Ivy League schools.
